Safety Rules

Rymex Scaffolding
  1. Install and assemble scaffold applying the procedure indicated by Rymex Scaffolding and only by trained and authorized personnel pointed by the supervisor for this purpose.
  2. Test that the scaffold and it's components withstand at least four times the maximum charge weight they'll be submitted to, considering staff weight, materials and tools that will be used.
  3. Install The Scaffold On:
    1. It's own bases, to insure major stability, or on wheels featuring blocking mechanism, which will be unlocked only when the scaffold must be moved to be relocated.
    2. Firm planes, stable and resistant enough, in a way any possible failure can be avoided, breaking, soil giving in, or accidental sliding.
    3. Flat level surfaces and when they are not, use techniques of leveling, stabilization and compensation as indicated by Rymex Scaffolding.
  4. All tower handrails must be installed at 1 m height once the tower rises higher than 1.8 m over the floor, or from the inferior level.
  5. Use support platforms which comply with the following:
    1. Which feature conditions for safety and operation, with no breakage, fissures, knots or any other defects or damages that compromise the safety of it's usage.
    2. Do not have a space wider than 2.5 cm between platforms.
    3. Place platforms over their frames to accomplish the minimum width or 45 cm as stablished by Mexican regulations.
  6. Make sure there are no bumpings, cracks, deformations or rusting on it's pipes and other metallic components.
  7. Count only on threadings on security bolts and nuts which display safety and operation conditions, and don't use nails, rods, or wire as substitutes.
  8. Check the scaffold previous to each use to certify it's safety and operation conditions and each one of it's components and replace or repair those which display any type of wear, get this done by trained personnel.
  9. Prohibit for workers to stay on moving scaffolds when these are being relocated, and forsee cautions to keep the scaffold stabilized when this is moving.
  10. Avoid the practice of any activities over the scaffold which could represent a risk to workers in a possible object fall off, or place protections against these risks by wearing helmets and protection.
  11. Avoid scaffolds being assembled, used or moved in such manner that these, or any power conducting materials in them, can get in contact with live electric power lines. When workin in proximity of such lines is required, you must observed the stablished in the following readings:

Voltaje (fase to fase) (V) Minimum Safety Distance (m)
    Up to 50 000 3.10
    73,000 3.33
    85,000 3.45
    115,000 3.75
    140,000 4.00
    230,000 4.90
    400,000 6.60
    600,000 8.60
  12. Make sure the ratio from the minor side of the scaffold base in relation to the maximum does not exceed 1:4.
  13. Tie the scaffold each 4m height, in all cases the aspect ratio shown in the past number is not possible to keep.
  14. Avoid any alteration to the Scaffolds Structure or Tie pattern that may affect safety in it's use. If change is needed please do not hesitate to contact Rymex Scaffolding.
  15. Keep the surface of the support platform free of agressive chemical products, and susbtances such as soapy sollutions, oil, grease, painting, mud or others which can turn it slippery or generates any other type of risk to workers.
  16. By any means workers must not climb through the scaffold from the outside, use access provided only.
  17. Do not place excesive weights on the scaffold and do not allow materials and tools piling which could obstruct traffic and result in overload.
